Christmas can be a very expensive time of year. You may find yourself wanting to give more gifts than you can afford to purchase. Making your own gifts is a great alternative.
I have worked at Santa’s Workshops at my kids’ elementary school. The idea is to allow kids to purchase gifts in a safe environment where they learn about shopping and money management. I have set up and run end of year shops for my troops. They earned points to spend through attending meetings, earning badges, participating and more.
The most cost-effective items at shops are those I’ve made . . . or talked my mom into helping me make. My favorite item is printables. You can design one and then the main cost is the paper and printing. If you need a few more, no problem! You can print and assemble them in a short amount of time.
So, to help cut the cost of your gifts this season . . . or extend your good will further . . . our badges this week are:
- Minibooks
- Printables: Gifts
You’ll be able to find the following items on Scribd after the badges are released:
You can also find many printables online. So this can be your starting point for a great adventure in gift giving.
