Grab ‘N’ Go Crafts

Select the Grab ‘N’ Go craft below for download of the sheet. Each sheet contains an image and instructions. If a diagram or template helps make the task easier, it is included as well.

NOTE: If you find a link that no longer works, see an error or have a recommendation, please email me.

3D Shapes
Three-dimensional shapes can be used as ornaments, beads, garland and more. You can make the shape with a minimum of three shaped pieces. Adding more will give you more fullness to  your final shape. However, it will also add bulk if you want to attach it to a card or scrapbook page, so more might not be better.
Initial Release: 3.7.2013 / Latest Release: 4.8.2015

  • Grab ‘N’ Go Sheet: 3D Shapes — GnG_3dShapes_lrl

Answer Box
Use the provided answer box with pre-designed answers or make your own unique answer box by placing your answers on the blank template. Just ask your question and roll the box.
Initial Release: 2.6.2014 / Latest Release: 4.8.2015

  • Grab ‘N’ Go Sheet: Answer Box — GnG_AnswerBox_lrl

Bangle Dreamcatchers
Most dreamcatchers start with a stiff circular shape. Many people have bangles that they no longer wear. So, let’s recycle them into a fun project.
Initial Release: 2.19.2013 / Latest Release: 4.8.2015

  • Grab ‘N’ Go Sheet: Bangle Dreamcatchers — GnG_BangleDreamcatchers_lrl

Bottle Caps
What can be simpler than placing an image into a bottle cap? Make an image a bit larger than 1″ diameter to use in your bottle cap. Use a 1″ circle punch to cut out the image you want. Then add a cover material to seal the image in place. You can adapt this for charms, pendants, ornaments, SWAPs, fridgies and thumbtacks.
Initial Release: 10.30.2013 / Latest Release: 4.8.2015

  • Grab ‘N’ Go Sheet: Bottle Caps — GnG_BottleCaps_lrl

Bubble Wands
Even as an adult, I love to play with bubbles. Why not make your own wands? From drinking straws to pipe cleaners, you can make a wide variety of wands. Don’t feel restrained by using a circle. Try squares, triangles and other fun shapes!
Initial Release: 8.31.2014 / Latest Release: 4.8.2015

  • Grab ‘N’ Go Sheet: Bubble Wands — GnG_BubbleWands_lrl

Crayon Scratch Art

Control the colors by starting with a completely colored sheet. Then, cover with black and scratch the black off to reveal the color below. The contrast of black on color is a great look that stands alone or can be incorporated into other items like cards.
Initial Release: 9.1.2014 / Latest Release: 4.8.2015

  • Grab ‘N’ Go Sheet: Crayon Scratch Art — GnG_CrayonScratchArt_lrl

Exchange Bracelet
For young kids, stringing beads on a piece of string can be a challenge. So, why not put them on a pipe cleaner? The beads are less likely to slide off and it is easy for them to adjust the size.
Initial Release: 3.5.2014 / Latest Release: 4.8.2015

  • Grab ‘N’ Go Sheet: Exchange Bracelet — GnG_ExchangeBracelet_lrl

Find in a Bottle (craft)
Make a puzzle by hiding items in a recycled clear plastic bottle. The puzzle is solved by moving the bottle around and finding the items within it. Alternately, you can prepare the bottles yourself and have others find the items in the bottle as an activity.
Initial Release: 8.7.2013 / Latest Release: 4.8.2015

  • Grab ‘N’ Go Sheet: Find in a Bottle Craft — GnG_BottleC_lrl

Finger Puppets
Finger puppets are unique because fingers are used for legs and other movable parts. Once made, the puppets can continue to be used. The second page of the PDF has a couple samples to try. Feel free to create your own finger puppets.

Flower Fairies
You can make fairies from a large variety of materials. This is just one version. While this is presented as a craft, you can make it an activity by creating a fairy hunt for younger girls. Depending on their age, you may find providing a photo of the fairies is more helpful than a list.
Initial Release: 12.12.2012 / Latest Release: 4.8.2015

  • Grab ‘N’ Go Sheet: Flower Fairies — GnG_FlowerFairies_lrl

  • Grab ‘N’ Go Sheet: Leather Vase — GnG_LeatherVase_lrl

Teabag Folding
Teabag folding is also known as kaleidoscope folding. You take squares of the same pattern, fold them the same and then assemble them into a medallion. The fold you use determine the  number you’ll need to complete a medallion. Usually you need eight pieces for a medallion. In addition, you can slide them apart during assembly and make a frame instead. Teabag medallions can be used with cards, scrapbooks and Christmas ornaments.
