LEAP 2011 was at Camp Juniper Knoll this weekend.
Adult enrichment weekends are great! Not only do you learn new things to take back to your troop, you also meet people who are as enthusiastic as you are about Girl Scouts. Every time I go, I get fired up . . . excited about the new year.
One of my classes was on environmental science, taught by a lady who teaches at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. We even received a CD with eight science activities for the girls. I also had classes in Green Jewelry, Making Our History (council own patch), Successful Science and Healthy Cooking.
If you have a chance to go to an adult enrichment event, don’t pass it up. You will experience a lot more than just a class or two.
