For larger events, share the bags of beads amongst the attendees. Track who has the beads with the attached list.
The fun is meeting and greeting everyone while trying to find the people with the beads.
After a specified time, find out who has the most beads collected and introduce those who had the beads to hand out.
Tools:
- Wire cutters or scissors
Materials:
- Pipe cleaners or string / fiber
- Pony beads
- Jewelry bags
Steps:
Sort beads — Sort beads so you have separate colors / shapes. Put the beads of one color / shape into a jewelry bag to make it easy to hand out. Each bag should have the same number of beads.
Choose — Allow participants to choose a pipe cleaner or string.
Make bracelet — Each participant introduces himself / herself to another to get a bead from them. They will not know who has the beads, but the goal is to have everyone meeting each other. You can also ask them to share some information about themselves during their search.
Twist and tie — After everyone has gathered the beads for a specified time, let them twist / tie the bracelet for wearing.
