So, if you’ve been here a while, you know I’ll update a badge program if I get enough emails about a specific issue. Otherwise, I tend to do them as a massive update when sufficient changes need to be made to all of them. This time, the supplements are the main driving force to the updates.
Additions to All Badge Programs
In addition to the added challenges, color and puzzle sheets, I wanted to do a bit more. Every badge program will have a checklist to go with it. You can check off the steps you’ve done, make sure you have all the supplements and even make your own notes on what you discovered. Badge programs that are part of a set will have a second checklist for the entire set. So, if you’re looking at planning a Harry Potter event, you can grab a checklist to make sure you have all the PDFs for both the badge programs and supplements to review while you’re planning it.
I’ve also been playing with the idea of making a printable sheet so that you can pick up some stickers to print badge images on. if you present a badge program to a group or troop, you can provide a sticker to them showing what they earned.
One Activity, One Sheet
All supplements will become one sheet for one activity.
A great example is the action songs. If you download the PDF, there’s about 20 songs on the supplement. But if you’re doing a penguin-themed winter activity, you may only want “Have You Ever Seen a Penguin Come to Tea?” By splitting the supplement into individual songs, I can more easily add to the list and you can grab only what you’re looking for.
Recipes will become one sheet with printable standard-sized cards, half sheets and full sheets. It will be the same recipe so if you decide to make GORP for a snack, you can print out recipe cards for the girls to take home or collect the sheets for the recipes for a full year to make books for each girl as a type of memory book for them. You can pick which ones you want.
Sorted by Activity
Lastly, the completely erratic releasing of the Grab ‘n’ Go sheets is no more. They are being incorporated into the badge programs. So, the 24 Grab ‘n’ Go sheets that dealt with SWAPS will now be supplements of the SWAPS badge program.
I have determined that the supplements will be broken down into groups for ease of location.

As you can guess, this is the largest area to be updated. All supplement updates will be announced on Thursdays from the blog. The updates will coincide with the badge releases on Tuesday.
